North Dakota Council of Teachers or English Fall Conference: “Sustaining Our Purpose, Nurturing Our Passion”
October 25, 2025 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
$185.00
Using the “teachers teaching teachers” mentality, NDCTE believes that some of the best professional development is provided by teachers for teachers and with teachers. Our fall conference, held at the Mandan Morton County Library on October 24, 2025 from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. is focused on “Sustaining Our Purpose, Nurturing Our Passion.” Join fellow colleagues to connect and consider ideas and best practices. Our panels and breakout sessions include:
> Challenges and development of generative AI in education
> Working with students in “The Anxious Generation”
> Incorporating indigenous voices in the classroom
> Measuring what matters: Feedback and goal setting in EmpowerEd English
> Writer agency in multilingual classrooms
The keynote speaker is Byron Graves, author of Rez Ball and Medicine Wheel. Graves is Ojibwe and Lakota and was born and raised on the Red Lake Indian Reservation in Minnesota. Graves will present a morning keynote, “How I Found My Voice” and an afternoon workshop focused on writing development.
