NDDPI Special Education Webinar

An event every month that begins at 3:30 pm on day 7 of the month, repeating until April 12, 2022
The NDDPI Special Education office will be offering a collection of professional development opportunities during the 2021-2022 school year. A combination of recorded presentations, live webinars and in person trainings/meetings will be offered.
Once registered you will be added to a Microsoft Teams group. There you will have access to recorded presentations (on topics such as: alternate assessment, collaborative goal writing, evidence-based practices). Postings will be made there about in person professional development opportunities. Live webinars will be offered the second Tuesday of each month (September through April) from 3:30-4:30 pm. These live webinars will be recorded and posted for those that are not available at that time. Topics will include: Evaluation and IEP compliance, goal writing, collaborating with general education teachers, dynamic assessment, secondary transition, parent support agencies, FBA/BIP, behavioral supports, and additional topics. A Microsoft Teams calendar invitation will be sent out September 3rd or once you are registered (if registration occurs after Sept. 3). A Café Credit (1 transcripted professional development credit will be offered) through the University of Mary. There will be a $45 charge to register with the University of Mary for credit. In order to get the credit, 15 hour of professional development must be completed. NDDPI will also provide a certificate of completion for those requiring proof of hours of learning completed for professional certification.
Sessions will be geared for special education as well as general education teachers, related service providers, and administrators. You only need to register one time to have access to all these professional development opportunities. Once you register you will receive a confirmation email through Eventbrite. You will also get an email from Microsoft Teams once you have been added to the Teams account. You will then get a calendar invite from NDDPI to hold all the live webinar dates and attached will be directions on how to access the Teams group for recorded webinars, handouts, etc.
