NDASRO 2020 School Safety Conference

NDASRO (North Dakota Association of Schoor Resource Officers) is an organization focused on school safety. School safety includes physical, mental, and emotional safety of the students, staff, and families associated with the schools of North Dakota. Our membership is made up of law enforcement, school personnel, parents, social workers, and many others with a vested interest in the safety of our school and communities as a whole.

2020 ND Early Childhood Institute

The ND Head Start Association is partnering with the ND Home Visitation Coalition to provide a fabulous day of training on the “Energy Bus”.

Ascend Sexual Risk Avoidance Specialist Certificaiton

Sexual Risk Avoidance is an educational approach based on the public health model of primary prevention to empower youth to avoid ALL the risks of sexual activity, in order to achieve optimum Health. Educators must intentionally work to build the internal and external assets of the students they serve so youth are more able and confident to make healthy decisions that avoid the risks associated with teen sex. Sexual risk avoidance education employs evidence-based methods that are proven to help students not only avoid teen sex, but also to improve the likelihood that youth will enjoy life success. Therefore, sex education should focus on sexual delay, preferably until marriage. Why? Because the health of youth translates into the health of adults – and families – and our nation. In an increasingly competitive world, it is important that professionals in every career maintain the highest level of knowledge and skill in their areas of expertise. Ascend’s Sexual Risk Avoidance (SRA) Certification Program offers a comprehensive, professional designation recognizing individuals who wish to or are currently involved in offering SRA education at the school and community levels. Ascend’s Sexual Risk Avoidance Specialist (SRAS) Certification program is the elite professional development training for the SRA field.

CLASS Observation Training where participants will build an in-depth
understanding of the CLASS system & learn to accurately observe &
code classrooms using CLASS observation tool. Those who pass the
reliability testing are certified to use the CLASS measure in classroom
observations.
Target Audience: Observers, coaches, administrators, & individuals
interested in becoming CLASS Affiliate Trainers. Within the first 2 months
following training participants will complete an online certification.

2019 Fall Educators Conference

The 2019 Fall Educators Conference has something for everyone! It has been carefully designed to meet the needs of a multitude of educators and will host a variety of presenters, sessions, and activities.The purpose of this conference is to share and disseminate information about effective instructional practices, and provide updates on federal and state issues. The breakout sessions are designed to provide training for teachers, administrators, technology coordinators, counselors, special education staff, early childhood personnel, and specialty staff such as instructional coaches, Title I teachers, data coordinators, and RTI strategists and more.
