The New North Dakota Early Learning Standards Birth to Kindergarten were released in 2018 and developed through a collaborative effort of early childhood professionals across the field of early childhood education. This training will discuss the standards that provide a common set of expectations for children’s learning and development across various types of early learning settings and how they can be implemented within programs.

This online training will discuss the standards that provide a comment set of expectations for children’s learning and development across various types of early learning settings and how they can be implemented within programs.

Approaches to Play and Learning, North Dakota Early Learning Standards Birth to Kindergarten Online Training Series

This training is a part of the North Dakota Early Learning Standards Birth to Kindergarten Online Training Series. This one-hour training focuses on Domain I: Approaches to Play and Learning and is one of five online trainings in the series.

This online training focuses on how children learn and skills and behaviors children use to engage in learning through play. The sub-domains Emotional and Behavioral Self-Regulation, Cognitive Self-Regulation, Initiative and Curiosity, and Creativity will be the focus of this training, allowing you to reflect on the domains through interactions, early childhood environments, and individualization with children. This training also demonstrates how domains are cross-cutting, and one domain area can support additional domains and sub-domains. There is not a specific order to the trainings.
